  • The office of enforcement officer of the City of Agoura Hills is hereby created and established. The enforcement officer shall be appointed by the city manager and shall meet the qualifications established for the position by the city manager. The enforcement officer shall have the authority and duty to enforce the provisions of the Municipal Code and ordinances of the City of Agoura Hills as may be from time to time designated or assigned by the city manager. Pursuant to California Penal Code Section 836.5, the enforcement officer may make arrests for violations of such Municipal Code or ordinances and may issue citations for infractions and misdemeanors pursuant to California Penal Code Chapter 5C (commencing with Section 853.6) and chapter 2 of article I of this Code. The enforcement officer shall be responsible for the proper performance of his duties to, and shall be subject to removal by, the city manager.
