Appendix 21007. Late campaign contribution disclosure.

  • Any contribution, including a loan, which totals in the aggregate five dollars ($5.00) or more in support of or opposition to a city ballot measure or candidate for city council, which is received after the closing date for the committee's or candidate's final pre-election statement, shall be reported in the manner required by section 21006 to the city clerk by mailgram, telegram, guaranteed overnight mail through the United States Postal Service, or personal delivery within:

    (a)

    Forty-eight (48) hours of the time it is received by the candidate or committee if the contribution is received eight (8) or more days prior to the date of the election;

    A late campaign contribution need not be reported, nor shall it be deemed accepted, if it is not cashed, negotiated or deposited and is returned to the contributor within seven (7) days of its receipt. Late campaign contributions shall be reported on the form required by the city clerk.
